Quality Pegs & Supplies

Surveyors Supplies

Survey pegs are an important tool of the surveyor’s trade. It’s important that they are easy to drive in and to mark, which ours are! We make our survey pegs with Australian hardwood timber that’s fully dressed (finished with a completely smooth surface) for superior handling. They have a square tip so you can hammer them in accurately and with ease. Unlike many other Australian survey pegs, we paint ours white on all surfaces, not just near the top. We offer the following types of survey pegs:

Indicator pegs are the most common type of pegs that surveyors use on construction sites. We supply these pegs in dimensions of 45×15mm wide and in various lengths from 600 to 900mm or 42x22mm in longer lengths up to 1.2m.

Surveyors often use boundary pegs to mark new boundaries created as a part of a subdivision. These pegs are typically 70 x 45mm (or 75 x 75mm) thick and in various lengths from 250 to 400mm.

Dumpy Pegs, or ‘Dumpies’, are used to determine an accurate position for installing amenities and assets. These are 50×50 and available in three sizes from 150mm to 300mm. As with our other survey legs, our Dumpies are also made from Australian hardwood and have a square tip and can be supplied as painted (white) or unpainted.

Steel Cap & Hardwood Pegs

Concreting Pegs

Our hardwood pegs provide support for formwork when pouring concrete, ensuring the edging remains in position. These pegs include a steel collar which provides increased strength and durability. The steel collar is rebated between 5mm and 10mm from the top of the peg to allow the top to mushroom when struck. These pegs are durable, and you can use them many times over.

Concreters tend to reuse their pegs several times. The metal caps ensure the structure of the pegs remain sound and also help when extracting them from the ground at the completion of each pour.

We make our steel cap pegs with quality Australian hardwood timber and, unlike many pegs on the market, our concreters pegs are fully dressed so they’re smooth to touch. You’ll never get a splinter using our pegs! They also have a square point, making them easy to drive into the ground.

Treated & Non-Treated Pegs

Landscapers Pegs

Timber pegs are a cost-effective and efficient way of securing timber edging used for constructing raised garden beds, sandpits and other designated outdoor areas. These pegs come in either 2×2-inch (50×50mm) or 2×1-inch (50×25mm) widths in 300mm, 450mm, 600mm and 750mm size lengths.

Because they are mostly used in construction related work, our landscaper pegs are H4 treated, making them rot-resistant, so they last longer in the ground. Given they are often unseen, they have a natural finish (not ‘dressed’ like our other pegs). Although, they still feature a square tip so you can drive them into the ground quickly and easily.

Our landscaper range also includes hardwood tree stakes, which are perfect for contractors planting out large areas with new vegetation. Our stakes comply with the requirements of local councils and civil contractors (normally either 1500 or 1800 high), which require new trees and saplings to be protected with tree guards. We can also supply the ties and plastic sheeting for protection against pests, rodents and strong winds.

Australian Hardwood Pegs & Stakes

Nursery & Gardeners Pegs

At our mill, we produce a variety of stakes that are typically used in the process of propagating, planting and transplanting small plants and saplings. As with all our products, we make these stakes from certified Australian hardwood timber. Typically, commercial nurseries and landscape gardeners use our stakes for staking up ornamental and native species. They are also used to support trees planted in public areas, such as the nature strips in new residential developments, recreational spaces and commercial developments.

We offer:

Our pot stakes are suitable for greenhouse and nursery applications. They come in various size from 300mm to 1000mm. So, they can be used for different pot sizes from 50mm to 300mm.

We’ve been making tomato stakes for decades in two main lengths, 1.8m and 2.1m. They are consistently in demand, especially during spring.

We have tree support options for 45, 75, 100, 200 and 300 litre trees. Landscapers tend to use between two and four stakes per tree depending on the size and location of the planting.

Plants Supported by Pegs — Premium Pegs for Surveying & More in Heatherbrae, NSW
Frequently Asked Questions

When plants are supported by a stake (and often also surrounded by hessian or plastic wrap), they are protected from harsh weather conditions during formulative stages. Using a stake to support a plant gives it stability, thereby encouraging the root system to take and stimulating growth. Whether you enjoy gardening as a hobby or are a nursery owner, our hardwood stakes will help keep your plants out of harm’s way. Call us to place an order.

No! We stay clear of yucky chemicals and use non-treated timber instead. Our wood is locally sourced from New South Wales and Queensland. We then machine the timber on all sides leaving a smooth, dressed finish. This way, we ensure a high-quality product that is environmentally friendly.
